Expert Pediatric Nephrology Care—Close To Home

For parents in Contra Costa County and surrounding communities, having a child with a complex medical condition used to mean spending lots of time traveling all over the Bay Area for visits with children’s specialists.

Through our collaboration with Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, we diagnose and treat kidney and urinary tract diseases in children of all ages—right here close to home.

In addition to your pediatric nephrologist, your child’s care team may also include nurses and other healthcare providers—all who have advanced training in specifically treating children and teens.

Meet Your Doctor

Elizabeth Talley, MD

Pediatric Nephrology

What I really love most about my job is working with patients and their families. Even though there are many times where I can't change the situation or take the disease away, I want families to know that I'll always be there to walk them through tough situations and to support them. Knowing that someone truly cares about your child makes all the difference.

I feel so blessed that I get to make such a positive difference in a young person's life. One of my patients who had a kidney transplant just graduated from eighth grade. I went to her graduation ceremony, and she thanked me for always being there for her and supporting her. Knowing that I'm able to help in that way is truly rewarding. It doesn't get much better than that.

Pediatric Nephrology

I am determined to help children with kidney problems feel better so that they can enjoy their lives and reach their best potential. I partner with families long term, applying my knowledge and experience to create unique treatment plans for each child. My research on solute movement in dialysis is born from questions that arise while I care for my patients. Novel and unexpected findings further drive my research efforts, aiming to enhance lives of children with kidney disorders.
