Heart Disease Wellness and Prevention

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of men and women in the U.S., claiming more lives each year than the next five leading causes of death combined.

You can improve your health and the quality of your life as you age by adopting healthy habits, avoiding bad ones, and getting appropriate screenings. Start by learning more about your risks and what you can do to improve and protect your heart health by taking advantage of our resources:

  • Risk factors – Learn about the genetic, behavioral, and nutritional factors that contribute to cardiovascular disease.
  • Risk assessments – Take a simple assessment from the American Heart Association to estimate your risk.
  • Cardiac conditioning – If you have recently been diagnosed with heart disease, our cardiac conditioning program can accelerate your recovery.
  • Sign up for one of our screenings:  Blood Pressure or Full Lipid and Glucose
  • Nutrition consultation and education
